The Northwest Sub-Courthouse is the first building in Tarrant County to receive LEED Gold Certification. This new three story sub-courthouse replaced their existing smaller facility. The project houses a tax office, courtroom, Justice of Peace, Constable’s Office, County Clerk, and Commissioner’s office.  The project also includes the remodeling of the adjacent Annex Building which houses Community Services and Correctional Division, Juvenile Services and Public Health.  Sustainable design features include, low water consumption plumbing fixtures, Native Texas landscape design, capillary irrigation system, sun shading devices, superior glazing system and building envelope design, as well as a high performance HVAC system.
